Telemedicine Policy

Remote healthcare involves the use and exchange of patient information and data from one location to another through various available information and communication technologies, such as two-way live video conferencing between the patient and the physician via email, smartphones, wireless devices, and other modern communication technology means, for the purpose of assessing the patient’s health condition and providing treatment. The use of video technologies, live streaming, transmitting still images and information electronically through the “DOCTORS” electronic patient portal, under remote consultation, enhances the effectiveness of electronic communication between the physician and the patient, allowing remote consultations for physicians to assist in diagnosis, provide medical advice for treatment, or direct the patient to healthcare facilities where appropriate treatment is available, or when another professional opinion is needed, by providing and transmitting patient-related information and data recorded earlier, such as information recorded in the patient’s file and radiographic images “asynchronously,” or providing and transmitting patient-related information and data simultaneously, using live audio and video streaming and two-way communication between the patient and the physician, exchanging information between the parties involved during service provision “synchronously,” or by collecting patient health data in one place through “DOCTORS” and transferring this data to the physician after processing it, when necessary, known as remote patient monitoring. The patient’s consent to participate in remote healthcare service remains valid for the duration of the specified service until revoked by the patient.

The patient agrees that there are no confirmations or guarantees regarding the results of the service, as they will not be able to claim any financial refunds based on their personal opinion or satisfaction with the quality of care provided. However, the patient will be able to express their opinion about the healthcare provider through customer service communication.

The telemedicine service provided by the “DOCTORS” application is non-refundable because the site reserves the right to refuse refund requests at any time. If the patient is dissatisfied with the service provided, they can contact customer service to discuss the issue. The request will then be reviewed, and the patient will be notified generally via phone or email within a period ranging from two to 10 business days. If the patient remains unconvinced with the outcome, they have the right to file a complaint with their bank or credit card issuer to dispute any charges. This will be thoroughly investigated by our team and the bank or credit card issuer.

Refunded amounts are only transferred via bank transfers and not in cash or by checks. Refunded amounts will not be issued unless the customer provides their bank account details or credit card information. Sometimes, it may take up to 21 business days for the refund process to be completed.

The patient acknowledges their agreement to the policy of non-attendance after booking remote healthcare, which states that the patient may be charged for the service and any fees by the medical service provider or the “DOCTORS” platform if they fail to attend the scheduled telemedicine session. This applies without prior contact with appointment scheduling staff and is applied on an individual basis according to each healthcare provider.

Individuals under the age of 18 using the service must obtain parental consent or legal guardian approval when using the service and treatment.

The patient agrees that they have read and understood all of the above-mentioned terms, including those regarding telemedicine, and they must comply with the policies and procedures of the healthcare provider and our website.

The patient agrees to participate in telemedicine services, including video technology, available on the “DOCTORS” website.

The patient agrees to choose the service provided through telemedicine with the treating physician and the chosen specialization. Incorrect choices in selecting the physician, type of service, and therapeutic specialties may result in exclusion from the refund policy.

It is essential to understand that telemedicine is an initial consultation and not the same as what the patient will receive when visiting the healthcare provider directly. The patient has full freedom to personally visit any service provider of their choice whenever they wish.

It is important to note that there are some medical and therapeutic care methods, examinations, and physical tests that may not be performed by physicians providing telemedicine services.

Sometimes, there may be potential flaws in the use of telemedicine technology, such as transmission interruptions, communication weaknesses, and technical difficulties. This service relies on the quality of communication between the patient and the service provider, and “DOCTORS” website is not responsible for such flaws and difficulties.

The responsibility for terminating video communication to complete telemedicine service lies with the patient or the healthcare service provider. Either party can end the conversation or call without completing or terminating the session, and “DOCTORS” website is not responsible for that.

It is essential to understand that telemedicine services are not recorded in audio or visual form at any time. However, some information related to the timing of the service may be securely stored.

The patient agrees to allow sharing of their health information and medical condition with the healthcare provider and insurers for scheduling and billing purposes.

In cases of emergency, if the patient is using telemedicine service, they should contact emergency services. “DOCTORS” website and healthcare providers are not responsible for care and treatment in emergency situations.

It is important for the patient to know that telemedicine service invoices will be sent to them by the healthcare provider and “DOCTORS” website, whether they have private medical insurance or not.

The patient, as a platform user, confirms the accuracy of their personal data and medical documents used in the initial diagnosis process of their health condition. They also acknowledge their consent and awareness of the telemedicine process as stated above. It is essential to understand that the healthcare provider is solely responsible for providing users with the best medical treatment advice suitable for their medical needs. Teleconsultation allows the doctor to assist in the initial diagnosis, provide medical advice for treatment, or direct the patient to suitable healthcare facilities or seek another doctor’s opinion. It should be noted that teleconsultation does not replace physical examination and evaluation. It is necessary to know that we do not practice or intend to practice medicine. We assist in establishing communication between the healthcare provider and users seeking medical consultation and appropriate treatment.
